If you run a website for your business, there are two things that you will want to get from it; the first is traffic, and the second is for that traffic to convert into sales. But how do you go about getting these things from your site?

In this article, we’ll discuss some of the ways that you can drive traffic and increase sales by making a few simple improvements to your website.

Maintain A Consistent Look

When navigating from one page to another, your users should feel like they are still on the same website. This means creating a consistent look across all of your pages. Use the same font and color scheme on every page and remember to keep everything on-brand

Use Autofill Functions

Help to speed up your user experience with intuitive autofill on all of your web forms such as address validation. The easier you can make it for customers to fill in forms on your website, the more likely they are to do it.

Optimize Your Site For Mobile Devices

More than 50% of the global population owns their own smartphone, therefore a strong percentage of your visitors will be coming to you from their mobile devices. Make sure your site is fully optimized for mobile you can do this by making sure all of your text and images are clearly visible and scaled appropriately to a small screen.

Include Social Share Buttons

You need your customers to help you out with your social marketing. One way of doing this is by including social share buttons on all of the content on your website and encouraging users to share your content.

Use a Familiar Navigation Layout

You won’t be able to reinvent the wheel with your website, so one of the best things that you can do for your user experience is to use tried and tested navigation layouts. This means putting navigation bars at the top of the page where users will expect to find them. Your visitors need to intuitively know how to find their way around your site, or they will get frustrated and leave. Make sure all of your pages are laid out in a simple, easy to navigate way.

Include Images – But Don’t Overdo It

Images are great for capturing the attention of your visitors. Make sure you use them to their full effect to break up your text and make things look more interesting, but don’t overdo it. Too many images can make your site look cluttered and it could slow your loading speeds down.

Improve Your Page Load Speeds

You have just a few seconds to attract the attention of visitors to your site. If your site does not load within that time, they will be off. Make sure you optimize your site to load faster. You can do this by using lazy load plugins and by reducing the size of any images on your site.
